Giratina watched the humans as they made their way through his world, the lake trio helping the two females while the man made his own way. It didn't take long for Arceus Priestess and the human child to reach the man, and Giratina snarled slightly as the man argued - then battled with the child, who stubbornly claimed that neither world was worthless. Impressive, but still... Foolish things. He should lock the man and child up here - kill them as was his right. He would have, where it not for the one of Arcues bloodline. For all he hated Dialga and Palkia, he was not a fool when it came to those tied by blood to Arcues itself.
He would deal with the man and child after this battle. The poor pokemon, so made to fight for humans. Despicable and disgusting, though there was something different about the child's. They reacted better to the commands and soon the male was defeated. Even the Priestess looked stunned. But then the man started to talk again as Giratina made himself known, ectoplasm flowing and forming into his serpentine body.
"... Don't think that you can defeat or capture that Pokémon. This bizarre world is none other than that Pokémon itself! Capturing it or defeating it will make this world disappear! Rather than repairing the world, you're going to destroy it for me! Do it. You inherit my legacy."
Giratina gave a menacing grin. How wrong the man was. Such arrogance in such a small, worthless thing. As for the child... Glowing red eyes turned to her, a nasty grin on his face. Just try it, he seemed to say. Just try it.

Nothing exists without its opposite. Hikari figured that out a long time ago. Day and night, life and death... Even this world and her own. Both have to be for either to exist.
She shivered when she met the dragon's gaze. A god. She would be up against a god. Her team was already tired from the battles they went through up until this point. She had to wonder if she would lose any of her precious friends in this... The stakes were too high. If she lost now everything she had already accomplished would be for naught.]
I inherit nothing from you. [Hikari could hear her voice wavering. It was impossible to remain steady, not in the face of the master of the Distortion World. Surely nothing else could match this fear? Hikari didn't want to know. Just one more battle...]

A harsh bark of a 'laugh' left the immortals throat. While he couldn't speak.... His gaze shifted to Shirona with a commanding sound. The priestess would do unless one of his own was here, but he doubted that. On the outside, perhaps. He though he's seen the Lake trio's and possible Darkrai. It mattered not, really.
Shirona stepped back when the immortal's gaze shifted her - and then that sound-- Her family might have been bound to Arcues, but she was not going to cross the Renegade's path. "Hikari-san, you need to hand over any empty pokeballs you have."
If she didn't, and she tried to catch him.. nothing would prevent the death of the young trainer who already had so much promise.

She blinked for the first time since the dragon appeared. Then took a deep breath. Her mouth was dry. Was Akagi right? Would defeating Giratina destroy the world? It didn't matter. This was just the last in a long list of things she had to do. She drew her team close, wishing she hadn't already used the last of her healing items.]
Just one more, alright? One more, for Kouki, and Jun, and everyone else... Then we can rest. [Her voice didn't sound familiar to her. Where before it had been soft and confidant, it was now nervous and shaking. She knew her team was just as afraid as she, but they, like her, knew that backing out wasn't an option.]

The Renegade shifted, then circled the field before landing, shadows starting to gather around him. The girl had spunk. Perhaps he'd allow her pokemon to live, They all seemed like they truly cared for the trainer. And the fact that she'd willing handed over the pokeballs... Yes. He'd allow the pokemon to live.
A roar sounded, marking the start of the challenge and Giratina unleashed his first move - Shadow Force.

She nudged her Clefable forward.] Ice Beam!
[Her Pokemon all evolved by Moon Stone. They didn't have much in the way of type diversity. To combat that she had tried to vary their movesets as much as she could with TMs. Now, all she could do was hope she'd done a good enough job as trainer and friend to her team. This would be the last test.]

Another shift as he curled up. This time it was an attack to end this stage of the battle. Slash, but aimed so that the pokemon should only fall unconscious. If the trainer recalled it fast enough after that, it should live. Maybe. While he felt bad, the pokemon served humans - was a tool of a power hungry race.
"Grraaa." How brave are you, little human, to stand up to an Immortal that is doing his best to intimidate?

She couldn't help but cry out, scared for her Pokemon, at that attack. She quickly recalled it, heart pounding and eyes wide. That was far more powerful than anything she had ever seen. Terrifying... But also exhilarating. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins now. No matter what, she wouldn't lose. She couldn't afford to.
Cold willpower filled her as she called out Nidoking. He had been doing better in health than the Normal-type Pokemon on her team. Maybe he would last a bit longer. She would call him out of danger, but he knew what this battle meant.]
Fire Blast. [The god succeeded in intimidating her, to be sure. But intimidation does little good when there is nowhere to run.]

More because there two other humans - no. Not yet. He wouldn't drag them into this battle. Though Giratina's eyes did slide from Hikari to Shirona and Akagi. It was tempting...
A snort and his attention was back onto Hikari.
What was your next move going to be, child?

Now, Sludge Wave! [There had to be something... Some key to defeating Giratina, or at least proving herself to it. If she could just find it...]

And then he swung around with the dragon tail move, not really caring if he hurt the human either, or injured the pokemon aside from just knocking it out.
All the while, the poison took it's toll on him.

[She screamed as the attack hit her as well. Nidoking, always burly and strong in defense, even among other Nidoking, weathered the attack fairly well, but he didn't have much left. He deserted the battleground temporarily to help Hikari up.]
I-I'm okay, don't worry... [She winced. She wasn't sure if her Pokemon believed her, but he returned to the battle with renewed will to win, if only out of some desire for revenge. Hurting his trainer wasn't alright.]
Now, uh... Surf? [Would it even work in this world? She wasn't sure about water...But then, the wave rose, just as it always dis, and Nidoking held her against the force of it.]

While the man would have battle dhis to the death... this one. A rumble of thought, but still, though, the child was a human, and he wasn't sure that what he was witnessing wasn't just a trick....
This time a very weak Slash, aimed at the trainer. It wouldn't do much more than knock it to the ground, but it would be interesting to see what the pokemon did.

A-aaa...!
[... Straight at Hikari. He tried to get in the way and take the attack for her, but wasn't fast enough - he roared with rage, letting out his most powerful Blizzard attack without command. following that, he stomped over to the girl, helped her up once more, than placed himself staunchly in front of her. You will not attack his beloved trainer again.]

The tail slammed down on the 'shelf', a pale imitation of earthquake, but it would feel like the real thing. Or should. "Rrrgrraaaaa."

Nidoking, stop! You've done enough. Take a rest - Nidoqueen can take over, alright? [Hikari knew that of her entire team, Nidoking trusted his female counterpart the most. He agreed to switch out and let the other Nido out. She was stronger in attack, anyway. She would be sure to take revenge on the dragon for attacking Hikari.]
Use Stone Edge!

He weathered the attack - hissing as the poison chipped away more of his health. Heh, almost at 80%. Not bad for a child, though the battle was becoming annoying, but with one of the 'wings' still frozen, he was limited in his attacks. Pity, but oh well.
Another Dragon Tail was sent the Nidoqueen's way.
It tagged the wrong spot...
Thunder! [--And then strike at very close range. Hikari was worried - the battle was taking so long. Two members of her team were already down and she had no idea how much health Giratina had left. She had to hurry, her team couldn't last forever against such a powerful Pokemon.]
Re: It tagged the wrong spot...
Really hope you didn't expect the Nidoqueen to last much longer as while it's not an attack persay, he whips tail and all up into the air, then slams it down before flinging the pokemon in the child's general direction.]
HIKARI-SAN! [Shirona is white as a ghost and Akagi isn't much better. It's one thing to dream of controlling a god's power, it's another to see it in action. He knows he's out much here.
Best recall the pokemon before Giratina decides he wants to go another round with it.]
let me know if it isn't okay for her to have a sudden whammy of luck...
Nidoqueen's toxic spines manage to break Hikari's skin upon impact. She doesn't know if she's actually poisoned or not - she can't tell like a Pokemon could - but she's definitely bleeding and winded. She stays still for a few moments, trying to catch her breath.
And then she recalls the 'Queen, standing back up slowly. She has to keep going. She has no choice.]
W...Wigglytuff... Metronome...!
[The rabbit's fingers start wiggling... And then it produces a ridiculously rare move called Freeze Shock. Hikari has no idea what her Pokemon just did. It was powerful, for sure, but what on earth was it? She's never seen anything like it, and doubts she ever will again.]
Re: let me know if it isn't okay for her to have a sudden whammy of luck...
Five ghostly 'wings' curl around him as he watches the wigglytuff in curiosity, while the frozen one barely twitches, reminding him of the current annoyance, along with the poison causing his veins.
For a dark, menacing god, his expression is downright comical when the freeze shock appears and hits him, encasing his tail and part of his lower body in ice. Thr roar of pain is earthshaking as several of the 'wings' slam into the ground with enough force to leave small creators.
It's not an attack. More he's bracing himself as he stares in shock at the wigglytuff, then slowly tilts his head in a clear
'what the fuck.']
